Listed here are all the currently known high end weapons from The Division. High End weapons have 3 weapon talents and higher base stats making them the go to for end game gear.


Assault Rifles

  • Liberator
    Assault Rifle - M4 - Crafted from Blueprint
    Weapon Talents:
    • Competent: Whenever you use a skill, your weapon damage is increased by {0}% for {1} seconds.
    • Dominant: Every kill performed while your signature skill is active reduces the cooldown of your other skills by {0}%.
    • Talented: Killing a target with this weapon increases your Skill Power by {0}% for {1} seconds (doesn't stack, killing a new target refreshes the timer).
  • Caduceus
    Assault Rifle - SCAR - Drops from NPC Elite Bosses
    Weapon Talents:
    • Coolheaded: Doing a headshot reduces all your skill cooldowns by {0}%.
    • Restored: Killing a target with this weapon removes all negative status effects from you.
    • Self-preserved: Critical hits with this weapon heal you for {0}% health.

Marksman Rifles

    • Steady: Killing a target with a headshot removes {0}% sway from the weapon for {1} seconds.

Security Talents

Security Talents Icon Security Talents List

  • Steady Hands
    Upon entering a cover, the player’s overall recoil for weapons will be reduce by 25% for a duration of 10 seconds.
  • Precision
    Whenever the player tags an enemy with a headshot, the enemy will automatically become pulsed for a total of 10 seconds.
  • Repo Reaper
    Whenever the player kills an enemy using their sidearm they will receive one full magazine for their primary weapon.
  • One is None
    Whenever the player hits an enemy with a headshot he/she will have a 50/50 chance of not consuming the spent bullet.
  • Stopping Power
    Whenever the player manages to suppress an enemy, he/she will receive a 25% buff to headshot damage for a duration of 10 seconds.
  • Chain Reaction
    If the player succeeds in damaging more than one hostile with an explosive blast, the total damage will be increased by 40% for the explosion.
  • On the Move
    Whenever the player kills an enemy while in movement the player will receive a 30% reduction to all incoming damage for a duration of 10 seconds.
  • Desperate Times
    Whenever the player’s health reaches low levels the player will have increased blind accuracy by 20%

    This perk increases the player’s overall experience gains by 10% for all
    completed activities.
  • Grenades
    Gives the player an extra grenade inventory slot.
  • Advanced Weaponry
    Makes advanced weapons available for purchase to the player at the
    weapons vendor located in the Security Wing.
  • Combat Veteran
    Boosts all experience gains from accolades by 25% for the player.
  • Hazardous Materials
    Increases the player’s DZ inventory by 1 slot.
  • Black Market Vendor
    Gives the player access to Dark Zone fund purchases within their Base
    of Operations.
  • Clothes Vendor
    Gives the player access to a clothing vendor in the Base of Operations.
  • Explosive Bullets
    Extends the duration of explosive bullet effects by a total of 10 seconds.
  • Gunsmith
    Allow the player to collect weapon based crafting materials from the Security Wing once every 60 minutes.
  • Scavenger
    Gives you the ability to collect various items from the scavenger box located in the Security Wing once every 60 minutes.
  • Incendiary Bullets
    Extends the duration of effects from incendiary bullets by a total of 10
    seconds.
  • Special Ammo
    Gives the player the ability to collect special ammo types (including Incendiary and Explosive Bullets) from the Supply Line once every 60 minutes.
  • Shooting Range
    Gives the player access to a shooting range where they can train their
    marksmanship abilities.
  • Intel Discovery
    Allows the player to see the locations of undiscovered intel on the map while the player is completing side missions or encounters in a named zone.
  • Collector
    Increases the player’s overall Scavenging by a total of 15%.
  • First Strike
    Targets at 100% health take 10% more damage from explosions.
  • First Responder
    Assisting a downed player is 25% faster.
  • Easy Commute
    Fast Travel is now free.

Medical Talents

  • Adrenaline
    When you use a medkit at less than maximum health the unit will provide overhealing.
  • Triage
    Whenever the player provides healing to an allied agent this talent will reduce the recharge times of skills for the entire group by 15%.
  • Shock and Awe
    Whenever the player suppresses an enemy, his/her overall movement speed will be increased by 25% for a duration of 10 seconds.
  • Battle Buddy
    Whenever the player executes a revive on a downed player, both the player and the downed agent will receive a 50% decrease to incoming damage for a duration of 10 seconds.
  • Critical Save
    Actives whenever the player uses a medkit while at low health levels. Buffs damage output by 40% for a duration of 10 seconds.
  • Shrapnel
    If the player manages to apply Bleed to enemies this talent will provide a 30% chance for the Bleed to also effect any enemies within a 10 meter radius around the affected target.
  • Combat Medic
    Whenever the player uses a medkit while in close proximity to allied players the medkit will also heal squad members and proxies by a total of 40%. This effect extends to a maximum of a 20 meter radius around the player.
  • Strike Back
    Whenever the player reaches low or critical health levels all active skills’ recharge rates will be reduced by 20%.

Medical Perks

  • Medkits
    Gives the player an extra slot in their inventory for an additional Medkit.
  • Protective Measures
    Increases the player’s overall Virus Protection rating by 1. This allows you to safely access areas with higher contamination ratings.
  • Canned Food
    Effects from canned food consumables will now last 10 seconds longer than normal.
  • Supplier
    Gives the player the ability to collect canned food, soda, water, and even energy bars from the Supply Line once every 60 minutes.
  • Contamination Intel
    With this perk the player will be able to see all areas on the map that are contaminated.
  • Hazardous Materials
    This perk gives the player an additional Dark Zone inventory slot to grab one extra item.
  • Rigger
    Gives the player the ability to collect fabric based crafting materials from the Medical Wing once every 60 minutes.
  • Credit
    With this perk equipped the player will receive 10% more credit gains than normal.
  • Talents
    Provides the player with an additional slot for talents.

Tech Perks

  • Inventory
    Increases the player’s overall inventory by giving him/her access to 10 additional slots.
  • Hazardous Materials
    Increases player’s DZ inventory by 1 slot.
  • Division Tech Materials
    Gives the player the ability to convert Division Tech materials into
    other materials at the crafting station.
  • Engineer
    Gives the player the ability to collect crafting materials from the Tech Wing once every 60 minutes.
  • Soda
    Lengthens the duration of effects provided from consuming Sodas by 10 seconds.
  • Water
    Lengthens duration of effects obtained from consuming Waters by 10 seconds.
  • Craftsman
    Gives the player the ability to collect toolbased crafting materials from the Tech Wing once every 60 mintues.
  • Energy Bar
    Extends the effects of consumed Energy Bars by a duration of 5 seconds.
  • Resource Assessment
    Enables the player to see all Division Tech crafting nodes within the
    Dark Zone map.
  • Stat Switch
    Gives the player access to item stat switching at the Recalibration Station.
  • Dark Zone Funds
    Increases the total funds the player gains in the Dark Zone by 10%.
  • Stash
    Increases the player’s overall stash by 10 slots.

  • Tactical Advance
    Whenever the player executes a cover to cover maneuver, his/her overall damage output will be increased by 2% for every meter covered for a grand total of 10 seconds.
  • Police Up
    Every time you kill an enemy using one of your skills you will have a 25% chance of having all ammo types automatically completely filled.
  • Wildfire
    Whenever you manage to hit an enemy with Burn the effect will have a 30% chance to also tag all enemies within a 10 meter radius of the targeted foe.
  • Death by Proxy
    If/when the player manages to destroy an opponent’s deployed skill, their own skills will be given a 20% power buff for a duration of 30 seconds.
  • Tech Support
    Whenever the player kills an enemy with any one of their skills currently deployed, all active player skills will have an increased duration time by 10%.
  • Fear Tactics
    Whenever the player hits an enemy with Shock, the effect will have a 30% chance to also be applied to hostiles within a 10 meter radius of the targeted enemy.
  • Demolition Expert
    After killing any enemy with an explosive, the player will receive a 40% damage increase for proceeding explosions for a duration of 15 seconds.. 
  • Evasive Action
    Whenever the player makes a cover to cover move, incoming damage will be reduced by a total of 30%.

Error Codes

This error usually happens if there is a connection issue going to The Division servers from either your end, or at the server end. If its from the server side, your account maybe locked out for 30 minutes to prevent your character save from corrupting.
Common troubleshooting steps would be to try the following:

  • Turn off your console or PC
  • Reset your modem or router and wait for at least 30 seconds.
  • Restart modem/router
  • Turn on console or PC
  • Try to load The Division again.

Other things to try out that may assist.

  • On PC, check windows firewall and make sure The Division is not being blocked.  You may want to add the game to the allow app list.

Open Beta February 18 to 21st

Open Beta for Tom Clancy's The Division starts February 18th and goes on until the 21st, 2016.

The good news is finally here, open beta is just a couple days away and we get to try out a new storyline mission! Also in this beta testing they have added a anti cheat system to help combat against agents using hacks in the Dark Zone multiplayer areas. All participates in this open beta phase will be rewarded with a special in-game reward which will unlock for players when the full game is released.

Open Beta F.A.Q.

Question: How do I join the Open Beta?

Answer: This open beta phase is available for all to join on xbox one, ps4 and pc users.
  • PC users need to launch Uplay app and then the Division Open Beta will be in your Free Games list.
  • PS4 users need to go to the Playstation Store and search for Tom Clancy's The Division Open Beta.
  • Xbox One users go to games and search for Tom Clancy's The Division Open Beta.
Question: Will any previous characters and progress from closed beta be available to use during this open beta?

Answer: Full player wipe, you will have to recreate characters and start over. Also note open beta progress and characters will not carry over to the release of the main game.

Security Skills

Security Skills Icon Security Skills List

Ballistic Shield
Allows the player to equip a portable shield that is capable of blocking incoming damage. While the shield is active the player is only allowed to use their sidearm weapon.
  • Mod 1 - Reactive Targeting
    The shield becomes tougher, yet lighter. Also, any enemy that fires at it will automatically become pulsed (highlighted for the player and allied
    players).
  • Mod 2 - Assault Shield
    With this shield equipped the player’s sidearm becomes more powerful with improved damage, better accuracy, a quicker reload, and knock-back
    capabilities.
  • Mod 3 - Kinetic Breaker
    Converts some incoming damage into restored health for the player.
  • Master
    If the shield takes no damage for a period of time it will automatically restore some of its health, extending its usage time.
Smart Cover
While active this skill reinforces an existing cover. While in the cover the player’s overall damage output is increased. Allies within the cover will have reduced incoming damage.
  • Mod 1 - Trapper
    Any enemies that are using cover will automatically deal less damage to you, yet take more damage dealt by you or your allies.
  • Mod 2 - Recharger
    Any allied players that are using a reinforced cover will have a slow, steady regeneration of health. Additionally, all skills will recharge slightly faster.
  • Mod 3 - Concealment
    Any allied players that are using reinforced cover are immune to enemy Pulse abilities and have reduced threat. Additionally, whenever allies hit enemy targets from behind cover the enemies are automatically highlighted.
  • Master - Cover Trail
    Extends the effects of cover for a short while even after the player has left the cover area.
Mobile Cover
Allows the user to deploy a temporary, mobile cover for a single player. This provides regular cover for the player until the cover is destroyed.
  • Mod 1 - Extension
    The deployed cover is more powerful and is now able to be used by up to two players.
  • Mod 2
    The cover is outfitted with explosives on the front side which can explode, dealing damage to nearby enemies that are in front of you.
  • Mod 3
    This modification buffs the overall damage output of the player within the cover and makes you immune to enemy pulses.
  • Master
    Once the shield is disabled from enemy fire, allies located behind the cover will receive additional damage resistance for a short period of time.
Survivor Link
Provides a temporary increase to the player and allies’ damage resistance and movement speed.

Tech Skills

Tech Skills Icon Tech Skills List

Sticky Bomb
Gives player access to a bomb that can be fired and stuck onto nearly any surface. Explodes when player detonates the bomb remotely.
  • Mod 1 - BFB
    Increases overall damage and blast radius of the bomb. Also has a chance at inflicting bleed on enemies caught in the explosion.
  • Mod 2 - Flash Bang
    Rather than causing physical damage upon detonation, the bomb will emit a flash which temporarily blinds and disables enemies within close proximity.
  • Mod 3 - Proximity Fuse
    Rather than exploding via remote detonation, the bomb can now detect when an enemy is nearby and explode automatically when it senses an enemy is within its blast radius.
  • Master - Stealthy Bomb
    The bomb becomes harder to discover. It emits less light and the volume of its sound is reduced.
Turret
Allows the player to deploy a turret which will fire at nearby enemies. The turret will last until it either runs out of health or the battery dies.
  • Mod 1 - Active Sensor
    Increases the overall damage output of the turret. Additionally, any enemies struck with fire from the turret will be highlighted for both the player and any allied players.
  • Mod 2 - Dragonbreath
    Rather than firing bullets the turret will now dish out a stream of flames. Range takes a hit with this mod active, though.
  • Mod 3 - Zapper
    Converts the turret to electrical ammunition. Shots have a chance of chaining to multiple enemies at once.
  • Master -
    Upon being destroyed the turret will erupt into a hearty explosion which causes moderate damage to enemies within the blast radius.
Seeker Mine
As the name implies, this is an explosive device that is autonomous and, upon use, will actively seek out nearby enemies. Once it detects a hostile it will explode, dealing damage.
  • Mod 1 - Air-burst
    Once used the mine will be tossed into the air where it will release a group of incendiary explosives that damage nearby foes.
  • Mod 2 - Gas Charge
    When the mine explodes it will also create a cloud of gas between nearby enemies.
  • Mod 3 - Cluster
    Upon usage the mine will split into several smaller seeking mines. Each one will seek out hostiles and explode. The damage is lower, but allows the user to hit multiple targets at once.
  • Master - Seeking Betty
    This modification makes the mine more intelligent. It allows the mine to jump onto or over deployed covers. Additionally, the mine is more precise in its targeting.
Tactical Link
Improves the overall damage output and crit hit chances for the player and allied players in the immediate proximity.

Medical Skills

Medical Skills Icon Medical Skills List

Pulse
Sends out a pulse that locates and identifies enemies within close proximity. While active, enemies will be highlighted, even through walls and behind objects.
  • Mod 1 - Recon Pack
    Increases the range of the pulse, plus enables the pulse to detect and identify loot caches within the area.
  • Mod 2 - Scrambler
    With this modification Pulse will also jam enemy Pulse waves, making it impossible for them to detect you or your squad with the same ability.
  • Mod 3 - Tactical Scanner
    Overall damage output increases against any enemies that are identified by the Pulse scan.
  • Master - Threat Detector
    Notifies players of enemies that are coming into their vicinity and tells you and your squad if you’ve been detected via an enemy Pulse scan.
First Aid
Gives the player the ability to provide healing to all allied players within a close proximity. This ability can be used directly where the player stands or even dispatched to friendly players that are within range.
  • Mod 1 - Defibrillator
    Gives the player the ability to revive downed teammates. Upon revival the downed player will have a portion of their health restored, not all.
  • Mod 2 - Overdose
    Makes the First Aid device heal even better and has a chance of temporarily giving players more overall health than normal.
  • Mod 3 - Booster Shot
    On top of healing the device will increase the damage output of players within the healing field for a short time.
  • Master - Extended Service
    The healing device will remain active for a longer period of time.
Support Station
Player will drop a Support Station which, like First Aid, provides healing and has the ability to bring players back to life from being downed.
  • Mod 1 - Life Support
    Device will revive all downed allied players within close proximity.
  • Mod 2 - Immunizer
    Device will cleanse nearby allies of inflicted debuffs.
  • Mod 3 - Ammo Cache
    Speeds up the recharge rate of skills for all nearby allied players. Also allows players to recover ammo.
  • Master
    Upon disabling of the device all nearby allied players will receiving additional healing.
Recovery Link
Another healing unit that will provide health to nearby allies and revive downed players.

Open Beta rumor to be Feb 16 to 21

Open beta for Tom Clancy's The Division has been rumored to start February 16 and last thru the 21st.

As with all rumors this may turn out to be wrong. Supposedly a screenshot from a calendar update from Xbox Italy showed the event for open beta. We will know soon if its going to happen since its only a week and a half away.


With all the bugs that were occurring in the closed beta, I'm not sure if a open beta would be a good thing if it takes away focus on bug squashing. Another unknown if indeed the open beta occurs is how limited will it be?

Friend Farming exploit

Friend Farming / Team Kill Trading exploit in the Dark Zone


Being that the game hasn't launched yet, I hope they do something about the issues involved with players who are exploiting in the Dark Zone via kill trading mechanics for credits.

Team Farming exploit is very simple to do, you shoot a friend who is not in your squad until he drops down but you do not kill them. This will make your team go rogue for 80 seconds. Head to a choke point or area with very few agents and repeat yielding 200 DZ per going rogue. Have other non squad friends revive downed character so they do not respawn in a different area nor lose any credits.



Their is many various of this form of Team Trade killing, I hope something is done to prevent rampant abuse.

Tom Clancy's The Division closed beta assessment

Overall assessment on Tom Clancy's The Division closed beta weekend.


Managed to play Tom Clancy's The Division closed beta thru out the weekend and found the game to be fun. I enjoyed the PVE content, the missions all had guides and indicators on where to go. There was one mission that was repeatable with variable difficultly level (normal / hard). The Hard mode made the mission very challenging even with a full squad. My only worries about PVE content is with the building up of your main base of operations. What happens when all the upgrades are finished? What does the end game PVE content look like? I'm not quite sure how it will turn out, its a wait and see.


As for the PVP elements in the game via the Dark Zone area, I found this to be a unique experience with many unknowns on how players will react around you. Majority of the time people went rogue was at the extraction points. They would wait for people to start the extract process to launch attacks.

The Dark Zone area also has a bunch of high areas that squads can create choke points. Some of the ways up to these high areas are via ropes. All a squad has to do is to camp the rope areas as people come up. I have a feeling these choke points will not be that effective when players get full access to all the different skills and talents.

The beta client also had many minor bugs resulting in issues with players going invulnerable or invisible. I also experienced many small graphic bugs with the beta due to being in window mode.  They seem to have a issue that has been identified already and hopefully will be resolved by game launch.

I haven't bought the game yet, I'm waiting to see if Nvidia has a promotion for the game with the purchase of a new video card. Similar to how I managed to get a free copy of Watch Dogs, I bought a Nvidia GTX 780 TI Card and they gave a free copy of the game!
